Information services have become an essential infrastructural facility for supporting health care delivery systems as well as for catering to the growing demands of the health sector. To meet the challenging needs of information and documentation, it is imperative that the existing resources and services for health sciences are reviewed from time to time. Such an assessment should lead to the identification of the various constraints that impede their development and indicate possible solutions.
Today people want quick and correct information on current issues. Like in other areas, in the field of Health and Medical Science too, the availability of scientific and technical information and knowledge has an important role in upgrading Research and Development activities.
